The ultimate irony Essay Example
A definitive incongruity Paper In the primary line of the sonnet, it tends to be seen that Duffy depicts Mrs Fraud just like a decisive and candid speaker, through the initial word Ladies. This demonstrates Mrs Freud to be an extremely definitive lady who requests regard, as she can address all the ladies at the convention simultaneously. At the point when one considers the degree of power and regard that Sigmund Freud himself increased through the fame of his speculations and discoveries, it very well may be expected that Duffy purposefully depicts Mrs Freud thusly to show that she also has her own good character outside the marriage like her significant other. The respite after the word likewise presents Mrs Freud as a quiet and rather develop individual, proposing that she is far more seasoned and more experienced than the crowd of ladies that she is tending to. As one peruses the sonnet further, it tends to be seen that Duffy through Mrs Freud, derides and reprimands both male sexuality and Freud himself in a clever way, along these lines viably taking out two targets with one shot. This is seen through Duffys work of conversational words, for example, the night crawler and pork blade, regarding the different monikers men give their penises, all through the aggregate of the sonnet. This in blend with the sonnets structure being as a piece, and Duffys shrewd utilization of similar sounding word usage and sound similarity through different words, for example, the dick, prick, dipstick and wick, gives the sonnet the vibe of a nursery school rhyme, while likewise underlining the entertaining disposition that Mrs Freud keeps up all through her introduction. The last barely any lines of the sonnet can be supposed to be successful in depicting the fierceness at which Mrs Freud has brutally assaulted the subject of male sexuality, generally ruling out compassion. The utilization of the word penis close to the finish of the sonnet, and Mrs Freuds depiction of it as normal and not lovely, can be said to show Mrs Fraud as getting to the core of the issue, while simultaneously, this plainly represents her as having stripped manliness and her significant other of their fairly extreme layers. The later embodiment of the penis as having a desirous lone eye and the accompanying words ones sentiment of pity, is a turn on Freuds penis begrudge hypothesis, something that as indicated by Mary Greens York Notes Advanced (2007), a women's activist would state Duffy does shrewdly. This hypothesis expresses that pre-adult young ladies are desirous of men because of them having a penis, and the utilization of the analogy jealous single eye, proposes that it is somewhat men who are jealous of ladies, and the subsequent statement infers that Mrs Freud herself, feels sorry for her better half and every single other man who accept something else. Gawains Moral Superiority Revealed in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight :: Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
Gawain's Moral Superiority Revealed in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight In the last scenes of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Gawainââ¬â¢s experience with Sir Bertilak permits Gawain to see his own defects, showed in his acknowledgment of the Green Girdle. The courtââ¬â¢s response to his own blame features the distinction among him and different knights of the Round Table. Gawainââ¬â¢s conduct all through the sonnet has been generally imperative; his comprehension of his transgression, one that huge numbers of us would excuse since it was impelled by his affection forever, upgrades his height as a paragon of gallantry. At the point when Gawain appears at the Green Knightââ¬â¢s sanctuary, his simple nearness gives solace to his host, who welcomes him: ââ¬Å"Sir so sweet, you respect the trysts you owe.â⬠Perhaps the green brave had been anticipating Gawain, as illustrative of the disintegrating House of Arthur, to be forsaken in his obligations. Gawain satisfies his great name. So also, he opposed the insufferable allurements of Lady Bertilak on various events, giving a negligible kiss, as per the code of valor. However, Gawain erred in tolerating the support; that much can't be denied. We, the peruser, can pardon him since he apologizes completely, in any event, venturing to such an extreme as to force repentance (of wearing the support unceasingly as a sign of his fall) on himself. It takes a mellow reproach by the Green Knight to split Gawainââ¬â¢s faã §ade of sure valor. His heart propels him to separate when stood up to by his host with regards to his carelessness. In any case, this happened just when the host had uncovered himself to be equivalent to the Green Knight. We understand that Gawain had recently seen in Sir Bertilak an equivalent in knighthood; in this manner his straightforwardness in misleading him in the trading of rewards game. At the point when Gawain acknowledges he was the subject of a test, he sees Bertilak/Green Knight from an alternate perspective. The Green Knight presently becomes Gawainââ¬â¢s questioner and in doing so accept a paternal job. We see that Bertilak sees Gawainââ¬â¢s deficiency, his affection forever, and regardless of it, cherishes Gawain. In spite of having trespassed, Bertilak finds in Gawain a top notch knight, far better than his companions in Camelot, who, confronted with the phantom of death, became quiet with weakness, as the respect of the King lay unguarded.

The Use of Light and Dark Images in Antigone - Literature Essay Samples
The Golden Age of Greece is notorious for its many contributions to the creative world, especially in its development of the play. These primitive performances strived to emphasize Greek morals, and were produced principally for this purpose. Antigone, by Sophocles, is typical. The moral focused on in Antigone is the conflict between physis (nature) and nomos (law), with physis ultimately presiding over nomos. Throughout Antigone, King Creon is a symbol for nomos, while Antigone stands on the side of physis. To portray these ideas, light and dark images are used as a recurring motif to reinforce the theme. Light is used to show something good that is happening, whereas dark is utilized to show show of something of which the gods disapprove. Following with tradition, this play uses light to portray what is right in the eyes of the chorus and darkness to reproach the other side. As the play is carried out, the chorus is constantly changing its opinions, first believing in the a ctions of Creon with respect to nomos, then unsure of what to believe, and finally seeing that Antigones actions are more consistent with the morality of the gods and the truths of physis. Light and darkness are used to support in an emotional way the action of whoever the chorus is siding with at these various stages of the play.It is clear that at the beginning of Antigone, the chorus favors the actions of Creon, or nomos. This is shown as Creons intentions and retribution towards Polyneices are justified by jovial words and imagery involving light. In the battle between Eteocles and Polyneices, although both leaders were killed, Eteocles army was the victor. To show that this was positive in the eyes of the gods, the first line of the Parodos in the Prologue refers to the battle as a blade of sun. The morning following the battle was then called a beautiful morning of victory. These are all positive feedback to the victory of Eteolces, and with the help of these light image s, it is easy to identify the chorus thoughts. Another praise to Creon is found in Ode I, where his law against burying Polyneices is referred to as clear intelligence. In this instance, clear is used in the sense that it is easily visible, or obvious, making the statement positive for Creon. Later, in Ode I, the gods again side with Creon, as they refer to his decisions in lines 4 to 5, Earth, holy and inexhaustible, is graven/With shining furrows where his plows have gone The gods are praising Creon; shining furrows where his plows have gone imply that he has left a good indent on matters that he has ruled on, in this case referring to the law against burying Polyneices. It is once again apparent that nomos is being favored by the chorus. As the middle of Antigone approaches, the chorus seems to be unsure of whom to favor, and is torn between physis and nomos. Because of this, references to light and dark motifs in scenes two and three are ironic, and sometimes even contradic tory. In lines 89 to 90 of Scene II, Creon claims, crimes kept in the dark/Cry for light. As Creon says this in regards to Antigone, this statement, ironically, could apply to him as well, as his recent actions and abuse of his power could also be considered a crime. This comment actually foreshadows Creons own fate. Another ironic instance is present in line 37 of Scene III, when Haimon says to Creon, You make things clear for me, and I obey you. Clear is an ambiguous word, used here to show how Haimon is unsure of whose side to favor. Like the chorus, he starts out favoring Creon, but later sides with Antigone. Another example of irony comes when Antigone is doomed for death. As the time comes for her to get locked up and killed, she is feeling dejected and sad, and is looking for pity. Yet, she comes to realize that fate had brought her to this point, and it was not her fault, but was inherited by her from her father, Oedipus, and his family. Figuring this out, because Antigone has fulfilled her fate and realizes that she has not done anything wrong, she becomes spiritually immortal. She has succeeded in doing what she thought was right, (burying her brother), and she knows that the gods are on her side. This realization helps her to face her death. Yet, in line 7 of Scene IV, she continues speaking as if she has not figured this out. She says good-bye to the sun that shines no longer. This continues through line 50 of Scene IV where she declares, the very light of sun is cold to me. These statements imply that Antigone will die both physically and spiritually, although both she and the reader knows that this is not what will happen. The final turn comes in the last two scenes of Antigone, when Creon finally realizes that he is in the wrong. He discovers that physis truly does supersede nomos, and, although he attempts to make amends, he is too late. Ode IV introduces this fact that the chorus has changed its mind, and Antigones actions wit h the idea of physis are presiding over Creons values with regards to nomos. It says, Zeus in a rain of gold poured love upon [Antigone]. The word gold is a reference to light and contains positive connotations. This change in thought is ascertained in Scene V, when Teiresias tells Creon of his recent omen regarding Creon: I began the rites of burnt offering at the altar,But instead of bright flame, the entrails dissolved in gray smoke,And no blaze!Creons omen states that the bright flame, his previous time of being favored by the gods, also a light reference which hold positive connotations, has worn out. This is a symbol of Creons pride, law, and power, which was abused , and has resulted in gray smoke, a gloomy image and a reference to dark. This shows that Creons intentions are now not favored by the gods, as the gods saw that Creons pride with connection to nomos was too high, and images referring to him are now dark and dismal. The play ends as the gods have turned their shoulder on Creon, and have made their final decision that Antigone is ultimately in the right.Because the sole purpose of Antigone is to get a moral point across, the parallels between light and dark and physis and nomos are associated together, and used metaphorically to add diversity and imagery to an otherwise redundant script. In the first scenes, these light and dark images show the reign of Creon. These are followed by the indistinct and ironic middle scenes, and end with the gods choosing Antigones actions over Creons, leaving Creon spiritually dead and paying for his poor choices and conduct. These are very effective techniques, which allow Sophocles to more fully develop his play, and give it a more emotional edge.

How to Measure Social Culture and Organizational Culture...
Introduction How to measure social culture and organizational culture of one country is an important issue (Miroshnik, 2002). Culture can be defined as the way of life of the group of people, which includes beliefs, art, law, morals, customs, and any capabilities and habits acquired by a man as a member of society, and enables people to communicate with others, provides the knowledge and skill necessary, and anticipates how others in society are likely to respond for the actions (Miroshnik, 2002). In other hand, managers frequently view culture as the collective programming of the mind which distinguishes the members of one human group from another and the interactive aggregate of common characteristics that influence a groupsâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦For examples, Indonesians avoid admitting lack of knowledge, inability to complete something, or deny something that it is actually true in order to show dignity. Indonesians are polite people. Upon meeting and leaving, it is usual to shake hands with both men and women. The other example is Indonesians avoid using left hand when offering something to others, because it is regarded as the unclean hand. It is also rude to point someone with a finger (Makmur, 2002). The fact is Indonesian cultural values do not adapt or include some of the elements in the western societies. Singapore Country profile Singapore is located in Southeast Asia between Malaysia and Indonesia. Singapore was part of Malaysia in 1963-1965. Positive Side Effects On Students Play Sports For Many...
Positive Side Effects Students play sports for many different reasons (e.g. pay for college tuition, stay in shape, be social.) Although some reasons of playing are good there are many aspects of high school sports that students and parents donââ¬â¢t spend enough time thinking about (e.g. pros and cons of high school sports.) Being an athlete in high school teaches you many things (e.g. character building, socialization, sportsmanship, live a healthier lifestyle, college preparation, ect.) Along with positive aspects of being a student athlete in high school, there are also negative ones (e.g. injuries, lack of free time, pressure, not focusing on school.) When a student athlete competes against other teams, the opposing team could be better than theirs, so they need to be able to handle defeat. There are two different types of character values: social and moral. Social values are those that include loyalty, sacrifice, teamwork, and dedication. While moral values are honesty, justice, responsibility, and fair play. While student athletes are playing the game they love, they are learning both social and moral values of character building. All of those traits will be used after the student graduates from high school. When a student joins a team, they will spend countless hours with their teammates on and off the playing field. Row Level Security And Virtual Private Database - 1485 Words
Row Level Security/ Virtual Private Database Row level security is important in this application because data related to many different users are stored in the database. It would be wasteful to assign each student to their own database, hence the need of a centralized database , but we cannot give full access to the data by the student. Consider an instance where a student should only be able to view or modify the rows of data that matters specifically to him. We can achieve this through creating a row level security or virtual private database. VPD enables the developer to enforce security, directly on tables, views or synonyms. It provides row level access control beyond that of views, since it uses all the data manipulation languagesâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦VPD can be implemented using stored procedures CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION specific_users ( p_schema IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL, p_object IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL ) RETURN VARCHAR2 AS BEGIN RETURN project_name = v( APP_USER ) ; END specific_users; / SQL INJECTION The user can influence the SQL code, this is usually as a result of the developer not properly using the right code. Samuel Moore Walton s Life - 1240 Words
Samuel Moore Walton was conceived in Oklahoma on March 29th 1918. His dad was utilized differently as a homestead advance appraiser, a land sales representative and protection businessperson. Walton and his family moved from many different small towns in Missouri as his dad sought after work. When they at long last settled in Columbia, Missouri, in 1933, Walton supported the family pay by tackling a few jobs. Notwithstanding his work duties Walton discovered time to go to class. As a teen, Sam Walton was portrayed by his schoolmates as the most flexible student in high school. Realizing that anything was conceivable in America, the adaptable young man carried on with his life taking into account the order that exclusive standards were the way to everything. As a star quarterback at Hickman High School, an Eagle Scout, and the beneficiary of a degree in economics from the University of Missouri, Sam Walton was a puzzle. Hitched 49 years to the same lady, and a father of four, this vig orous huntsman and recreational devotee, held an unassuming picture supporting his red Ford F150 pickup (vintage 1979) as his method of transportation to work. Be that as it may, as a man of business, Walton, known as Mr. Sam, was an eccentric yet vital retail pioneer. Mr. Sam was imaginative, unequivocal, and discerning. Nazisme Essay Example For Students
On ferme dabord KPD puis SPD. Pourquoi Hitler? William Julian Pryor Essays (771 words) - Climatology,
William Julian Pryor Assignment Write a Speech You will turn in your speech. Before you turn in your speech, make sure you have Written a speech that will be 2-3 minutes long. Used at least three rhetorical devices, one of which must be parallel sentences. Used an appropriate voice and tone. Included a works cited page. Review the rubric to make sure you are meeting all assignment requirements. Global warming is one of the most challenging environmental problems in existence today. It threatens the health of the earth's inhabitants and the world's economies every day. With global warming comes longer and more intense heat waves , as well as more ferocious storms. Along with the se climate changes, it brings more pests , which in turn can carry devastating diseases. Forestry and farming are feeling the negative impact of global warming as well , and we a re also seeing traces of a devastated ecosystem. To prevent further damage , and begin repairing the dama ging effects of global warming, po licies must be implemented and enforced. Energy conservation is the only policy that I would put into effect. This policy would be very broad; encompassing as many aspects of energy use as possible. The first item on the table would be to force automobile manufacturers to only produce vehicles with high MPG ratings and eventually to develop new models that are not run on gasoline alone. Suc h vehicles are known as hybrids, and are run on a combination of electricity and gasoline. Currently, the technology is available to manufacture cars with 40+ mpg ratings, however, the concern lies with the increasing number of trucks and SUVs that are known worldwide as "gas-guzzlers". These larger vehicles are becoming more and more popular and currently do not meet any efficiency standards. Requiring that all new SUVs and trucks from this point forward be as fuel efficient as their smaller counterparts, this would be a large step in the way of vehicle efficiency , and pave the way for less gasoline reliance. This in turn will allow for fewer emissions of carbon dioxide from vehicles. The next policy to implement would be that technology be developed to make all appliances run efficiently; from refrigerators and stoves on down to video game equipment and lamps. Every piece of machinery or device that we own uses energy in some way, shape, or form. Large pieces of industrial equipment and even residential equipment require a lot of energy to run thereby contributing to the world's air pollution. If we would require that manufacturers of such items follow strict guidelines of energy efficiency, not only would users save money, but energy use would be at a minimum, so less air pollution would be created. Some headway is being made in this area, but not enough , and not nearly fast enough. We see most progress being made in the residential areas: examples are Energy Star appliances , and compact, fluorescent light bulbs. Just as these items are good for your sake, they are good for the Earth. However, everything coming onto the market needs to be required to be energy efficient according to pre-determined standards , and we can't continue to bypass the industrial aspect of this. The last policy that I would implement revolves around recycling. I would require that all packaging be recyclable and that it be made from recycled materials. Recycling helps the environment by conserving our natural resources, saving energy, reducing air and water pollution, and reducing the need for landfill space. Currently, many recycling programs are in place worldwide, but there are no policies that enforce its use, yet this is one of the easiest ways of protecting our environment. In order for my policy to be successful, all businesses and consumers need to actively par ticipate. This method will help to reduce the amount of energy that is used during the elimination of waste products , and help defeat global warming. If these guidelines are followed, then we will have a chance to stop global warming. It will take a lot of work, but if we all do our part, then we will be able to stop global warming and make our world a better place. 1. http://www.conserve-energy-future.com/various-global-warming-facts.php Web

How to Make Your Sample of Order Essay Unique
How to Make Your Sample of Order Essay UniqueIn order to ensure that your sample of order essay is unique, it is important that you do not reuse information from other assignments that you have previously completed. To ensure that your sample is different from all the others that you have written, you should not just copy the essay, but you should change some of the facts that you wrote in it.First of all, you should understand that what you write for your essay, whether it is a school paper or an assignment for a school project, is generally going to be the same. Students generally like to read essay samples because they like to know what other students are writing in order to compare themselves to other students. The key to making your sample of order essay unique, however, is by changing things in it that you don't want others to change. One of the most important changes that you will need to make is in the beginning of the essay. Instead of introducing yourself and your academic b ackground, begin your introduction by saying that you are a student at the school. You should then provide your name, address, and the school where you attended and what type of school you attended.Next, you will need to decide on a topic. You may wish to begin by providing your opinion about a topic that you feel is relevant to the class or to life as a whole. If you do not have a strong opinion about any particular topic, you should start your essay by providing a specific example of something that you would like to change about the current state of the world.By giving examples of what you would like to change about the world, your sample of order essay will become much more interesting to read. You should also do this if you want to demonstrate that you are knowledgeable about your subject. You should not simply go through and describe every minute detail of your subject without providing examples in your essay.Although you should never copy other people's writing, it is possible to add something new about your school and yourself in order to make it unique. For example, instead of providing general information about yourself, you should take the time to give specifics about your school and yourself. You should discuss the great diversity that exists in the school and the people who attend your school. You should also include information about how you plan to help the school, either financially or otherwise. You should also provide some information about yourself that shows your accomplishments. This will help ensure that you do not become so repetitive that others would be able to easily see your ideas from your essay. When you complete your sample of order essay, you should make sure that you print out as many copies as you need for a final project. When you use your samples, you will be able to create a great project that the class will enjoy reading. By being unique, you will ensure that your classmates will be impressed with the ideas that you presented and by having great thoughts to share with them.

buy custom The Birth of a Nation essay
buy custom The Birth of a Nation essay The Birth of a Nation is still lives to be of the most controversial movies in the history of American film due to its overtly racist subject. The film produced and directed by D.W. Griffith in 1915 and it is well celebrated as the most triumphant and artistically advanced movie of its time. Since its initial release, The Birth of a Nation flickered divisiveness and riots. It tells the Civil Wars story and the outcome, as observed in the eyes of two different families, that is, the Camerons and the Stonemans coming from the South and the North respectively (Griffith, 1915). When war erupts, the Stonemans are in support of the Union whereas Camerons are devoted to Dixie. When the war ends, Ben Cameron organizes many concurring Southerners into an underground vigilante group referred to as Ku Klux Klan (KKK) because of his being upset by the fact that his adored south has been taken over by carpetbaggers and blacks. Flora, Camerons adored younger sister soars to her death rather yielding to the licentious advances of traitor slave Gus. Consequently, KKK attacks the Northern-inspired government, bringing back order in the end, to the south (Griffith, 1915). Griffith (1915) observes that the divergence legacy of this initial American chartbuster epic base on the blend of Southern-bred landmark technical accomplishments and racism of D.W. Griffith, as his account of the Civil War and Reconstruction underscored miscegenations fears and KKKs heroism. Seeking to produce the greatest film ever, he uses all the technical experiments together with folk tunes and classical music. His message is not only meant for colossal scale of Civil War struggles but also his core characters intimate psychology. The climatic move of the Klan to rescue white girlhood from adulteration of the black marked the producers most amazing and significant utilization of parallel editing to spur emotional excitement. This is the most unreserved and the longest American movie produced as of 1915, open to rants due to its creativity and record-breaking returns of box office, aiding in legitimization of movies as reputable entertainment (Griffith, 1915). The movies appeal was however barely all positive because National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) planned a public campaign in opposition to the film and insisted that Griffith makes cuts. As a result, it was banned in a number of states because of its racism, after its premiere in Boston, race riots erupted, and it unswervingly predisposed the return of the Klan in the 20 century. Decades after its being produced the movie still stirs up protests due to its cinematic powers contradictory proof. Buy custom The Birth of a Nation essay

The Role Of The Form Tutor Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words
The Role Of The Form Tutor - Essay Example This is because education is seen as a social factor and also as an economic activity that should be embraced by every member in a society. The finest individuals in a society are regarded to be those who are educated. Tutors can also be referred to as teachers who are a major part in every childââ¬â¢s development. This is because the time that they spend with the students matters a great deal in terms of their behaviours, morals and understanding. The above study will show the common roles of the tutor and how these roles have been changing over time. This will involve the use of different theories used in educational research. The study will also show the understanding that the pupils have in terms of the roles and responsibilities of the form tutor. Tutors are of different types for example private tutors comprise of those who are for academic development and coaching. There are also those who conduct tutoring online or at home. A private tutor mostly helps in academic activities for example if a student does not understand a particular subject then they can approach their partners for more explanation. Online tut oring is where the students share their views with a tutor who is always ready to help. To access this tutor a student has to register for easier communication. Some of these techniques used include chat, web conferencing and teleconferencing. The main role of tutors is to instill personal, social and health education (PSHE) and this training takes place outside the school setting. It is important to encourage students to develop physically through exercising and eating the best diet. Socially the tutors engage students into groups so that they may share their experiences at home or in the school compound. This makes the students feel at home and it also avoids other kinds of discrimination for instance racial, demoralization for instance in cases where pupils are mistreated at their homes they rebuild through

Particle yield ratios in HIC from the quark recombination model Essay
Particle yield ratios in HIC from the quark recombination model - Essay Example On the other hand, more problems remain with regard to the inconsistencies in empirical findings about the behavior of these elementary particles and forces versus the strict predictions of behavior from the Standard Model, leading to the need for further research and experiments that make use of more powerful detectors and accelerators in high energy physics contexts. This is to aid in furthering the understanding of the fundamental forces and particles in the universe, and to aid in the crafting of more accurate theories about the nature of reality. Recent and planned work in high energy physics reflect this need to validate the predictions of the Standard Model and to work out the inconsistencies between the model and the behavior of particles and forces in the real world. Planned future work on the LHC revolves around making use of the progress in discovering the Higgs boson in order to understand how the Higgs boson conveys its power to matter, and the way the Higgs boson, among other things, interact with known particles and forces, as well as with new and unknown particles such as dark matter (Shears, 2012; . Aad et al., 2013). The Standard Model is the name given to a physics theory that aims to provide a description of fundamental forces and fundamental particles in nature. The value of the standard model is in its predictive power when it comes to experimentations in particle physics. The challenges tied to the Standard Model on the other hand relate to the absence of outcomes in experiments that would totally verify the theory. Until the Higgs Boson can be completely verified empirically for instance, there remain large holes in the theory that need to be validated, as the Higgs Boson is one of the most fundamental aspects of the Standard Model (Shears, 2012). The experiments at the Large Hadron Collider or LHC has confirmed the existence of a particle

Financial Reporting and Analysis for Decision Making Essay
Financial Reporting and Analysis for Decision Making - Essay Example There appears no true definition under the ordinance or the HKAS.à Most cases require the knowledge of the accountant discretion. When companies comply with the Companyââ¬â¢s Ordinance the HKAS depicts the situation as true and fair. The moment there appears a problem; the term comes straight from the legislative or the investment discretion (Oporowski, 2005). Hong Kong citizens tend to analyze the connection found among corporate operation reporting releases. Basing the argument to the results of a, certain company in, Hong Kong years 2011 shows that, Firms experiencing a high earning level, rarely releases the information to the yearly press disclosure. Companies that end up releasing their press disclosures display a heightened impression management. The implication here proves that managers who handle their practices engage in it at varied levels related to the firmsââ¬â¢ communications. The ultimate information found in such communications proves that the corporations re lease information that lures the outsiders to view the firmââ¬â¢s performance in a way that they desire (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, 2011). Analysis of the Topic Issue Using Financial Theory The issues on manipulation The manipulation of data by the managers creates a wrong impression of the company, which later affects the issuance, and the content of the yearly results press releases. The manipulation of the financial reports leaves the public with numerous questions. The questions range from; whether the firm is trying to run away from legal implications, or it just wants to limit the information about the firm that can be viewed by the members of the public. Managers utilize the secretive nature presented by the members of the press release in facilitating manipulating figure to lure the customers and potential investors of the credibility of their corporate bodies. Another possible reason for the act comes from, or excluding the amount of individuals to re duce impression operations in the Hong Kong Accounting Standard (HKAS) 1 or entirely shun the release practice. Some researchers such as Godfrey et al argue that; earning management directly relates to graphical perception management coupled with explanatory impression management (Agarwal, 2002) Disclosures relating to noteworthy events, balances and transactions The impression can be traced at a glance by critical close look at the earning managements and impression management that are released earlier. Most managers tend to release the organization financial information by the use of the third quarter earnings of the organizational report. The study induces more literature as it constantly deals with the releases of Hong Kong Accounting Standard (HKAS) 1 (Revised). Previous analyses prove the application of manipulation practices in the press release data. The results this ends up affecting the stock markets shares prices (Financial Management Association, 1972) Auditorsââ¬â¢ r emuneration The disclosure requirement where the issuers are expected by the line 2(h) in the Boardââ¬â¢s main rules to give full information on the auditors and non auditors salary included in the corporate government report. This is based on articulation levels in sport so they encourage people that don't play sport that often or those that generally doesn't play sports at all to get active. Performance This is to improve the athlete's performance as they already take part and are familiar in the sport this would happen by regular practice, competition or skill training. An example of this would be county trials when they identify potential talent within the team that they could work with to make improvements that they can move up to the excellence level. Excellence This is at national and international level that will practice for championships round the world. The UK sport is in charge at the excellence level of a range of sports so they made some rules about the support of funding and training for athletes. These are to help progress the athlete through to the next two stages, development of the athlete to reach the podiums and finally support them with realistic medal potential. Netball Foundation- Th is is the introduction of the sport and where they could take netball into a further career. In school they would start to play netball, they could participate in the sport on the playground with friends or in PEE lessons. They will learn the basic skills needed for netball which is throwing the ball. Participation- This stage is probably happens when you first start secondary school and this is where they would take part in after school activities. At the after school clubs it is an opportunity to all year groups. This is optional to go to therefore the student continue to return due to physical, mental or social reasons. Performance- The age range is round 13 when they start to play for an academy, county or district team. This requires a lot more commitment as you would need to turn up to training as it isn't optional any more and more times in a week needed to participate. In the teams you will be with the same age range, performance and skill level. Excellence- This is where you go to competitions to compete against top teams. Cardiac Arrest A Huge Problem For The American Public
Cardiac arrest is a huge problem for the American public. According to the American heart association cardiac arrest kills around 200,000 to 300,000 people each year. There are numerous studies on ways to increase the survival rates and overall outcomes of these patients. Therapeutic hypothermia is one of the new and upcoming studies for post cardiac arrest care. It is used in various EMS agencies worldwide. It has shown significant improvements in patientââ¬â¢s outcome and reduced neurological deficits. There are specific indications for when therapeutic hypothermia can be used. Once indicated there are three phases involved which include induction, maintenance, and rewarming. Each phase is critical for successful treatment of the patient.â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦When the decision is made to use therapeutic hypothermia it is key to verify the patient meets the specific criteria for use. According to the American heart association the patient must be hemodynamically stable, comatose with Glasgow motor score of less than 6, have an arrest time of less than 60 minutes, among others. This criteria is imperative to achieve the greatest possible outcome for your patient. Conversely if the patient shows uncontrolled bleeding, is septic, or has uncontrollable dysrhythmias this procedure can have various harmful effects on the body. In general, hypothermia is usually well tolerated by the patient. According to neurologist Dr. Edgar Samaniego complications may include: 1) cardiac: arrhythmias, bradycardia, reduced ventricular contractility, and hypotension; 2) immunological: immunosuppression; 3) hematologic: thrombocytopenia and mild coagulopathy; 4) metabolic: shivering, hyperglycemia, hypokalemia, ileum, and cold-induced diuresis. The most common complication is pneumonia, followed by asymptomatic bradycardia. These complications can be minimized by proper use of this procedure as well as continuous monitoring. Therapeutic hypothermia occurs in three phases, which include induction, maintenance, and rewarming. This process must be controlled to prevent and or control adverse reactions like arrhythmias, skin break down, and electrolyte imbalances. Maintaining the target body temperature is crucial
